Interior designer Russell Sage brought me in to design furniture after winning this prestigious interiors contract with Gordon Ramsay Holdings. The York & Albany is a ten suite boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and delicatessen on the edge of Regent’s Park in London, housed in a Grade II listed inn and coach house built by John Nash in 1827. I oversaw the CAD work and designed furniture and cabinetry throughout, as well as producing the design visualisations.

I was art director on this commercial directed by Olivier Gondry for Partizan Films in New York in 2006. It was a series of vignettes illustrating the things fashion designer Vera Wang uses her computer for. Gondry combined live green-screened actors with miniature physical models. My job was to help design the miniature sets with production designer Bradley Thordarson, sell the ideas with illustrations and oversee the assembly on the shoot. The combination of low and high-tech was best illustrated with hand painted images based on a CAD framework, which was essential for scaling the models up accurately for the live action element.

From 2000 to 2006 I produced all the visualisation, technical drawings and websites for Hollywood event producers Rabin Rodgers Ltd. Clients included Vogue, Volkswagen, Armani, W Magazine, Stella McCartney, George Jensen, The Diamond Council and Absolut Vodka.

A set of 6 veneered tables, 3 of which with a span of over 3m, and a shelving unit made to fit into an obtuse angle.

I was the art director for this large scale station promo set, for Hungry Man productions and the US cable station TBS. We built a third of a vast imaginary futuristic comedy nerve centre in the old Hughes Aviation building in Los Angeles where the Spruce Goose was made in the 1930s. The remaining two thirds, the exterior and the roof were composited afterwards by The Mill. My role was to design the set in consultation with the production designer Robert De Vico, produce renderings, fly-throughs, digital models for post production, plans and to oversee the construction.
